Mafé boeuf


|| Recipe for 4 people, preparation time: 1H30, from Mali


  • 1 kg of meat 
  • 2 large onions
  • 4 tbsp Mayor Oil
  • 3/4 liter of water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 hot peppers
  • 150 g  seedless peanut paste
  • 1 clove garlic, pepper, salt, chicken broth
  • 2 Eggplants, cabbage, sweet potatoes, potatoes
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 100 g fresh tomato


After having prepared all your ingredients, a pot on the fire, put your Mayor oil. Wait until it heats 3 min, put the diced meat in it. Let brown 10 min. Put the sliced onions. Mix the fresh and concentrated tomatoes in a bowl and pour everything into the pot. Simmer 5 min. Add water and cover the pot for 8 min. At the same time it put the chopped vegetables and sweet pepper. Wait 10 to 20 minutes before putting your peanut paste in the sauce. Simmer all over low heat for at least 20 min, then put the chicken bouillon cube, salt… a little. The sauce should normally be thick. Serve hot.

May be accompanied by rice, foufou or couscous seeds
