Banana Beef Ragout

  • 800g beef stew
  • 2 tablespoons palm oil
  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • 1 green pepper
  • tomatoes
  • 1 apple
  • bananas
  • 5 dl beef broth
  • 1 tbsp curry
  • Freshly ground pepper


  • Sear the meat on all sides in the sizzling palm oil, add the onions and steam them briefly
  • Wash the pepper, shell it and cut it into strips
  • Cut the tomatoes into eight and the apple into thin strips. Add to meat, deglaze with broth
  • Sprinkle with curry and braise short over low heat for about 40 minutes. Cut the bananas into slices about 1 cm wide and gently fold them into the meat
  • Heat briefly and dress on the serving platter
  • Serve with couscous or rice
